Temple Street Night Market

Temple Street Night Market

Temple Street Night Market , also known as Temple Street Night Market, is one of Hong Kong’s biggest and arguably best markets. If you’re only going to see one market while in Hong Kong, it should probably be Temple Street Market. The market doesn’t really get busy until after dark, and even if you aren’t interested in a bargain, it’s worth a visit to see the crowds and colors and enjoy some food.

Temple Street is awash with rows of brightly lit stalls hawking an astonishing variety of clothing, pens, watches, CDs, cassettes, electronic gadgets, hardware and luggage. The busy food stalls offer a range of delicacies including fresh seafood and hotpot dishes to tempt your appetite. Fortune-tellers cluster at the Yau Ma Tei end of the street, and so do Chinese opera enthusiasts seeking kindred spirits for impromptu performances.

In addition the market itself, you’ll also find an endless supply of Dai Paid Dongs serving street side snack food on plastic seating as well as clusters of fortune tellers offering palm readings, tarot cards and more. You should absolutely expect to bargain.
Simply absorbing Temple Street is a memorable experience.
Opening Hours:
2p.m. – 11p.m..
The best time to go is after working hours, around 8pm sees the market at its most packed and atmospheric. If, however, you’re more interested in shopping try and get there around 3p.m.
How To Get There

1. MTR Jordan Station Exit A. Turn right into Jordan Road and walk three blocks to Temple Street.
2. MTR Yau Ma Tei Station Exit C, walk along Man Ming Lane to Temple Street.

Shopaholic@Canton Road

In my mind, shopping is a big way to reduce the stress. Especially for the ladies. I believe that, all the women in the world were born to be a Shopaholic. Canton Road which is located in Yau Tsim Mong District, Kowloon, Hong Kong a main road. This is across the street three areas: Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Tsim Sha Tsui. A large segment of the Tsim Sha Tsui, is the most prosperous of the lot, a blend of world famous flagship stores, such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, Gucci.....popular brand shops. The bags, high heels...they can make all the women to be insanity!

Canton Road is one of the hot venue for the visitors. You can see many foreigners surrounding there. Further, there are many shopping malls over there. For instance, Silvercord, The sun arcade, Harbour City. One of the imporant things I need to mention that is Harbour City is the largest shopping mall in Hong Kong. It is located at the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui on the tip of the Kowloon Peninsula. It is close to some of Hong Kong's major tourist spots and attractions and is easy to get to by public transport such as the MTR, Star Ferry, bus or taxi.
